2026 Update

2026 Update
So I realise I haven’t made a post since the first of November last year. That’s my bad, life got pretty crazy. As I mentioned in my last post, I lost my job in November, and scouring the job market took everything out of me. It was hell. Luckily, I was able to find new employment that started in February, but still, it was a nervous time for sure. So now that I’ve got through that and taken a little bit of time to get back into the flow of my new job, I’m feeling refreshed and reinvigorated for what lies ahead, and have been able to turn my attentions back to my creative work. During my unemployment, I did manage to get a novel of mine out to some alpha readers. They were extremely helpful in identifying areas of the story that worked, and more importantly, those that didn’t, and I am currently furiously rewriting before it is ready to send out to some betas. I also started 2 other projects during that time. One of which was so I could enter it into a competition, and the second was just for fun. With those 3 currently on the go, depending on what mood I’m in, the creative juices are fully flowing, although it would be nice to be nearer to the finish line for sure. My hope is that within the next few months, the first project will have been sent out to betas, and maybe one of the others will have reached the alpha phase. We’ll see. Life often finds ways to get in the way, but I’m a firm believer that it’s all about the journey, not about the destination, and I’m just feeling grateful that I’m in a place where I am working again and am able to get back to writing without a dark cloud hanging over my head. I hope 2026 has brought joy to anyone reading this, and stay tuned as I will definitely be making more of an effort with the blog over the coming weeks. Stay classy.
